I am a writer and graphic novelist who creates fantasy, supernatural, and speculative fiction stories about queer characters coming into their identities and struggling against systems of authority, usually with the help of some kind of magic powers.
I’m primarily self-taught as a digital painter and cartoonist. My bachelor’s degree, from Macalester College (’17), was in creative writing and physics/astronomy. After undergrad, I was an editor of children’s and YA nonfiction at Lerner Publishing Group until 2022, when a continuing education class reminded me how much fun drawing comics is. I graduated from SVA’s MFA Visual Narrative program in 2026. I currently live in Seattle with my partner and two fat cats.
